Found in Parisian cellars that served as laboratories and storage rooms for pharmacists to prepare their medicinal compounds from 1900 to 1950.
It was used to store products, glass bottles, etc.
This crate bears witness to the strategic alliance sealed in 1947 between the Gallia laboratory, a pioneer in scientific breastfeeding and originally created by pharmacists, and the Gervais company: a collaboration that transformed farm milk into a product of high medical precision, distributed exclusively under the control of pharmacists.
Period: Circa 1947–1955 – Mid-20th century. This was the period when the collaboration between Gallia and Gervais was in full swing, before infant milk gradually ceased to be sold exclusively in local pharmacies.
