Napoleon III period glove box - Victorian period in France

From the 19th century, when elegance was a way of life.

Made of blackened wood and gilded brass, with a central brass medallion decorated with arabesques. Finely cut brass scrollwork and mouldings stand out against a black lacquered background.

French polish. Macassar ebony veneer interior.

The lid is slightly domed. The old manufacturer's label is still partially legible under the box.

There is no key.
