Boitard tried his hand at this and recounts his experiences in his Treatise on Embalming, which follows the taxidermy manual.
A brief history of embalming through the centuries, from the mummies of the Ancient Egyptians to the embalming of King Louis XVIII in 1824, which we follow step by step.
Then Boitard explains to us, step by step, how he embalmed his first human subject.
