Insect shard in glass case
Dynastes neptunus beetle
Beautiful entomological work by La Thanatothèque
The Dynastes Neptunus can be recognized by its cephalic (nasal) horn, which is longer than that of other Dynastes beetles.
Each part of the insect has been disassembled and mounted on fine brass rods to be reconstituted as an exploded piece, a long and precise job.
A superb piece.
