Antique 3-branch church candlestick
With brass leaves and bunch of grapes
19th century - Napoleon III
A 3-light candlestick
Antique 3-branch church candlestick
From the 19th century, once found on church altars.
The 3 branches represent the Holy Trinity. These candlesticks were placed on the altar or on the steps leading to it. The grapes and vine leaves refer to the symbolism of the Eucharist in Christianity.
Very pretty church candlestick decorated with vine leaves and a bunch of grapes with three brass candlesticks. 1 element is missing, I think a flower, as one of the stems is empty: see photos.
