This buffalo bone calendar, a shaman's batak, from Timor Island was traditionally used by priests to establish favourable or unfavourable dates before undertaking a project, such as a wedding, the harvest or hunting.
Mounted on a base. Recent product. The calendars are not exactly the same, this is real bone and the engravings are hand made.
