Quéry's - Mosquito Repellent Box
Rare, still-sealed item - Cardboard box never opened.
Produced by the Quéry Laboratory, this box contains insecticide cones.
Featuring the famous mascot of the monkey blowing on one of the insecticide cones.
A true time capsule as it is still sealed.
A testament to the Great War of 1914–1918, as the strip sealing the box states on the edge: ‘Temporary closure of the box due to a shortage of paper’. This detail attests to paper restrictions and material shortages around 1915–1919 and is consistent with the box’s very Belle Époque design.
The bilingual inscription in French and Spanish indicates that the box was also shipped to and sold in Spain.
Dimensions: 15cm
The box is full and sealed!
