Made of wood and covered with veneer.
Equipped with a magnifying glass, a large diameter biconvex lens, positioned on a frame.
A mobile photograph holder allows the document viewed through the magnifying glass to be focused by moving it further or further away.
It can be used to examine horizontal or vertical photographs.
From the second half of the 19th century.
The top of the case is made of wood veneer and blackened wood, and the magnifying glass is surrounded by a brass ring.
The case can hold and transport a few photographs.
