Technique: Copper engraving and watercolor highlights of the period
The pattern was first etched on a copper plate, leaving a well-marked vat impression that can be seen on the boards. The colours were then meticulously applied by hand, board by board, by professional colourists of the time.
Support: Vintage laid paper
They are old and sometimes have defects, such as gaps, cuts, stains, dirt, foxing.

There are defects on the superimposed boards; the outer board, which was the man's torso, is missing, as are the lungs, which were above the heart. The left hand is missing, the arm being torn.
