An ancient measuring instrument for wine
The vinoscope is a precision instrument for measuring the alcoholic strength of wines. Capillary pipette for precise, instantaneous measurement of the alcoholic strength of wines.
Still in its beautifully lettered cardboard case. Early 20th century.
The instructions are still inside.
The engravings giving the degree of alcohol are very faded and almost illegible.
The glass pipette is approximately 15.5cm high. The cardboard case is 20.5cm high and 3cm in diameter.
