The title page No. 1 of the portfolio is entitled ‘Artistic Anatomy Studies’.
It depicts an allegory of Science unveiling Death, a winged figure lifting a shroud from a partially skeletonised body, against a backdrop of clouds.
A symbolic composition of great graphic quality, reflecting the artist's thoughts on the relationship between anatomical knowledge and the human condition.
Condition: see photos: small tears, snags, stains mainly on the blue mounting paper
