Memento mori: a latin expression meaning "remember that you will die". Created to remind proud and greedy men of their mortality, these skulls are carved from horn. In Indonesia, the cult of the dead is a festive tradition, which allows them to honour their ancestors.

She draws her inspiration from Sicilian landscapes, its history and its people. She is famous for her anthropomorphic vases, the famous Sicilian Moor’s Heads, which she reinterprets with great humour and a modern twist, giving them the names of Sicilian merchants.
