Antique Absinthe Glass
The glass thickens in the lower part, where the dose of absinthe was.
Presence of bubbles in the glass. Scratches from use. Blown glass, one can feel the pontil, the trace of the blowing rod, which has been sanded under the glass.
The glasses are all different in terms of height, diameter, weight.
Serving an absinthe was quite a ceremony, first the absinthe liquor was poured into the bottom of the glass and then the water was poured over the sugar on the absinthe spoon placed on the glass to soften the bitterness of the beverage.
