Brass pocket spring microscope (A).
These small microscopes appeared in the years 1880 until the 1930s. Those must date from the end of the nineteenth or early twentieth century.
Just push on the tabs on the side to insert the blade that comes to hang by releasing the tabs. To observe, the base of the instrument (the side with a small hole) must be directed towards a light source to illuminate the blade.
Perfect for a botanist or an entomologist on a walk.
Microscope: height 4.5 cm - diameter 2.3 cm.
