Vintage box: Vacuum cleaner from Dr Potain (circa 1900)

Vintage medical case: Dr. Potain's Vacuum cleaner (circa 1900).
This instrument was used to evacuate liquids, especially for pleurisy which is an inflammation of the pleura, the membrane surrounding the lungs, and which often has liquid in the pleural cavity.
It could also be used to remove urine from a retention bladder or gases from a gut strangled by a hernia. (Source: Conservatory of the hospital heritage of Rennes).
The cabinet is complete, but the rubber tube has not crossed the ages, its rubber has broken into small pieces. There is still the second pipe covered with fabric.
-A steel pump with its end of two ends.
-a hollow metal double-ducted rod is branching off into two branches each with a faucet.
-9 trocarts, cannulas, foam punches of different caliber.
1 glass tube as well as wire for cleaning the needles.
case dimensions: 27.5 x 12.5 x 5.5 cm: in good condition, box lined with violet velvet Inside.
The case in good condition for its age, a task on the top and the underside is rubbed, but no other damage.
