Round Witch Mirror

Reedition of a witch mirror, with wood turned and patinated, in the pure Flemish tradition of the 15th century.

These convex mirrors were called "witch mirrors" because they were given magical powers.

Indeed they appeared in Flanders and very often the masters of the house often installed them in their interiors, thanks to their convex faces the masters could see their servants arrive before they could see them...

So the servants thought that these mirrors had gifts of magic...!
