Antique museum jar for wet specimen

Clear glass jars to hold specimens preserved in a wet environment, also known as "flutes".

This one is mouth-blown glass, you can see the trace of the cane below. Bubbles in the glass in places.

Comes from unused reserves and discarded from a natural history museum.

The cap is made of ground glass on its lower base for better adhesion.

Height 33 cm with knob - Total useful height inside the jar: 26.5cm

Useful diameter of the tube: 7.5 cm Diameter of the base: 10cm
