Pharmacy jar 19th: Tolu tablets
Jar and its glass lid are blown-mouth glass, it remains the trace of the pontil of the cane under the jar and inside the lid. Late 19th century.
These jars with glass lids and spikes were more rare, it is difficult to find them today.
Tolu: Obtained by incision of the bark of the Toluifera balsamum, tree growing originally in the vicinity of the city of Tolu in Colombia and used in pharmacy for its pectoral properties to calm cough.
