Beautiful Victorian apothecary's office, field doctor of the first half of the 19th century, 1800-1850. From England.
The cabinet is mahogany and has 5 large bottle compartments in the upper part, the lower part is unblocked by lifting the brassed rod next to the lock in the upper part.
The lower part is 2-level, consisting of 5 vial compartments, a removable tray that rises to allow a storage space to appear underneath.
Brass handles and locks. The key is there but the lock no longer locks.
A beautiful old cabinet for any collector of pharmacy bottles! A beautiful and rarer piece.
